Nigerian actor Kunle Remi and his wife Boluwatiwe held a traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos State on Friday. The couple oozed royal glamour as they wore traditional attire.
Actor Remi shared the news of his official engagement on his own Instagram page.
During the traditional engagement, Tiwi adorned herself in beautifully tied orange-brown gele and wore a matching blouse and skirt. She complimented her look with an orange hand fan, adding her adorable touch. Her neck and hands were adorned with red coral beads for an elegant finish.
Remi wore a brown agbada, trousers of the same colour and material, red coral beads, and brown shoes.
Ahead of the traditional wedding, the actor posted a pre-wedding photo on his own Instagram page, where he is seen kneeling in front of Bolwatiwi with a goat around his neck.
He wrote: “Tiwi, I come to you humbly like a G.0.A.T. with a goat. Are you ready to dance, Ayamii?”
The traditional wedding ceremony is attended by Femi Otedola, the biological brother of the bride’s mother. Those who graced the wedding included actors, actresses, and other dignitaries.
Reacting to the traditional wedding ceremony, Maid of Honor actress Bimbo Ademoye expressed her joy for Remi. She shared a video on her Instagram page where she is seen wearing a white agbada with Kunle and expressed her excitement that Kunle has finally married Remi.
Actors and actresses including Nkechi Blessing, Bisola Aiyola, Omoni Oboli, Bimpe Akintunde, Damola Olatunji, Blessing Obasi, Aisha Lawal and Etinosa Idemudia congratulated the couple in Ademoye’s comment section.
BACKGROUND
On New Year’s Day, Mr. Remi’s Instagram page revealed that he and his wife Bolwatiwi had gotten married. He celebrated their marriage and gave advice to single people through captivating photos on his Instagram page.
Mr. Remi encouraged singles to be patient, remain open to God’s definition of the best partner, and look forward to a double celebration in 2024.
The bride said her first impression of the groom was that he was funny, humble and confident, and his Popeye arms and incredible smile were physically impossible to miss.
She added that the groom’s big heart is what she loves most about him. “I don’t know how that fits into his body. He also has a true love for everyone and sees people where they are. He is humble and that is a desirable quality for me,” Boluwatiwi said.
Ms. Boluwatiwi further said that she enjoyed watching her husband relive the event. “He makes me laugh with the many voices and animations he uses for his narration. He adds colour to even the most mundane moments of the day that he shares.”
She said she loves watching him get ready and go to bed after a long day. She further explained that their version of the amusement park was designed together from the beginning.
